Kamayán definitions

Being the professional researcher that I am [NOT], I looked up kamayán in my trusty Tagalog dictionary. Unfortunately, the word is not included since the book only provides the root words. Good enough. Kamáy, or hand, is all we need to know and start. Side note: benefit of living in Hawai‘'i and close to University Mānoa, found this gem of a book.

If one goes on an internet research, the majority of results share about the communal feast - which is 100% correct. This is the best part about this word and what it represents. Community, eating, and a party.

Here’s my pivot - the majority of my experience has been more the daily meals at home and the simple act of eating with one’s hands. The little definition drawing that I created, kinda focuses on or prioritizes the broader meaning of eating with one’s hand.

Reflecting on the drawings I have made so far, they are not about the communal feast and digs deeper on the finer and detailed aspects. How does one eat with their hands, Filipino style? Using my skills, can I come up with something that teaches anyone, any age to do kamayán?
