Inktober Day 2: Scurry

A small, ongoing personal history for me.

Classic scurrier growing up in the Philippines: Ipis!
Cockroach in most of US or B52's in Hawai‘i.
Tsinelas almost always the first and best line of defense.

The end result drawing, I’m happy with. The drawing in my head is a bit better, my skills have to catch up a bit. The planning and sketching out of the drawing took much longer, evidenced by the long trace paper studies. It was a toggle between the point of view of the ipis and the tsinelas, either would have worked.

The gif is pretty fun, re-purposing the photograph of the drawing via Procreate in the Ipad.

Process: mostly mistakes & learning
