Inktober Day 12 Forest

In this instance, if one forgets - there may be consequences!

"Tabi tabi po", an expression in Filipino [Tagalog], translates somewhat to "Pardon me".

This is something one says going through the forest, especially if passing by an ant hill or mound of earth. These are believed to be the homes of the Duwende. Similar beings to dwarves, elves, or goblins in other cultures.
Their reactions can vary from mischievous to not-so-good. So better to utter these words, be respectful, and play it safe.

I definitely did this growing up in the Philippines, extra careful when peeing in the woods, and kept repeating the phrase until done. haha.
