Fish / Inktober 52
My old man traveled all over the Philippines for work and, as a perk, would sometimes receive gifts from the locals he helped. The first time he brought home a piece from a large fish, my grandmother exclaimed, "Ay pating" [ "Ah, shark!"].
We lived in one of the largest plains on the largest island—inlanders in a nation of over 7,600. The shock wore off quickly once we had the fish as a tasty meal.
